7 Days: Cape Town, Stellenbosch & The West Coast

Mountain Abseiling – Township Innovation – Lagoon Kayaking

"Welcome to Cape Town! The indigenous name for the city is Camissa, which means 'place of sweet waters'. This is a diverse, complex, and magical place full of life in all of its madness. This journey is designed to let you experience the city in all the richness and nuance we have planned, from the heights of Table Mountain to the turquoise lagoons of the West Coast."
Part One

Cape Town: Vertical Drops & Urban Rhythms

Day 1-2. Atlantic Ocean & Table Mountain Heights

After arrival, we start with an easy-going 5km bike ride along the Atlantic ocean from Sea Point to the V&A Waterfront. Our first night features traditional isiXhosa cuisine at a quirky private restaurant on the slopes of Table Mountain, accompanied by a live private concert. The following morning, we tackle a difficult level hike up Platteklip Gorge, culminating in an exhilarating abseil on the mountain.

Day 3. The Peninsula Spine

We travel along the Atlantic Seaboard, over Chapman's Peak, and through historic coastal villages toward Cape Point. This route follows the spine of the Table Mountain range where the two oceans meet. We stop for a very local fish braai lunch in Kalk Bay before visiting Kirstenbosch Gardens and concluding the day at Cafe Royale in the heart of the city's entertainment precinct.

Part Two

Valleys & Vineyards: Elgin & Stellenbosch

Day 4-5. Canopy Tours & Vineyard Cycles

Leaving the city, we cross Sir Lowry's Pass for a high-flying zipline canopy tour in the Hottentots Holland Mountains. We settle into Stellenbosch for a night of beer and tapas before spending the next morning on a vineyard cycling tour with wine tastings. We then return to the city for a short tour of the Oranjezicht City Farm, seeing the source of the urban market that was a World Design Capital project.

Day 6-7. Langebaan Kayaking & Cape Malay Spices

We head up the West Coast for a kayaking trip on the Langebaan lagoon. After exploring the National Park, we return to Cape Town for a hands-on Cape Malay cooking workshop in the Bo Kaap, learning the history of spice and community. A final leisurely morning for shopping at the Creative Emporium precedes your flight home, picking up local music, art, and fashion as final goodbyes.
